Ciao!
Today was USD's Career Expo. This is where a bunch of companies come to USD to collect resumes and talk to students about current openings and internships. I talked to about ten companies I was interested in and have narrowed it down to about five that I want to pursue applying. (I am hoping to be able to stay in San Diego this summer, so finding a job is pretty important so I can pay rent.) Some of the companies are even conducting interviews on-campus, so I don't even have to drive.
USD has a fantastic career center. They can help you with your resume, cover letter, and even hold mock interviews with you. I highly recommend checking it out, even as a new student because they are so nice and will help you so much.
On the orientation front, I've been working hard planning the fun social event that is going to be held on the first night! It will be EPIC! Get excited for Torero Days!!! Woo!

March Madness!
Hi yall-
It's the first week back from Spring Break so I've been readjusting to the mornings and schoolwork. In my Six Sigma lab, we just did a statistical analysis to determine which team would win the NCAA tournament. I think that it is so awesome that we are doing fun things instead of boring paperwork.
My roommates and I are on the hunt for a condo so we can all live down in Sunny San Diego this summer. It's a lot harder than I thought, but I'm really excited that I made such great friends. USD does a great job picking roommates, even though it is completely random (for the most part). It's so funny how it always works out in the end.
This weekend the Torero Club Baseball team takes on Arizona State University. I'm super excited to go watch because one of the guys I went to high school with is a pitcher for ASU so I will get to see him after about four years. And of course I get to go to the game to watch my friends on USD's team.
As far as orientation is concerned, applications were due yesterday and I'm really excited to start interviewing everyone to find the best, most spirited students to be a part of T-Squad. Woo!
Get excited about USD, I heard that some people already got their acceptance letters! Congrats!
